天王川公園の藤

ノダフジ

フジの別名「野田藤」は、フジの名所であった大阪市福島区野田にちなんで牧野富太郎が命名しました。野田のフジは古くから「吉野の桜、野田の藤」と並び称された名所でした。

ノダナガフジ

野田長藤の花序は大きく粗い特徴がありますが、その姿は美しいものです。花房は７０～８０ｃｍになります。接木５～６年で開花します。

Noda Fuji

Noda Fuji, another name for wisteria, was named after the wisteria viewing spot Noda in Fukushima-ku, Osaka City by Tomitaro Makino, a Japanese botanist. The wisteria of Noda has been admired since ancient times, along with the phrase “the cherry blossom of Yoshino and wisteria of Noda”.

Noda Naga Fuji

The gorgeous Noda Naga Fuji is distinctive for its large and coarse inflorescence. The flower clusters are 70 to 80 cm long. It begins to flower 5 to 6 years after grafting.

野田紫藤

紫藤的另一个名字“野田紫藤”是由牧野富太郎以大阪市福岛区野田的名字命名的，那里是紫藤的著名景点。 野田紫藤自古以来就是被称为“吉野樱花、野田紫藤”的著名景点。

キュウシャクフジ

埼玉県春日部市牛島のフジが原木です。九尺藤の花房は、長く１００～２００ｃｍにもなり、花色はやや濃い紫色です。花つきはややまばらですが長く美しいので藤棚仕立てに用いられます。

ロクシャクフジ

熊野のナガフジが原木とされます。六尺藤の花房は１５０ｃｍほどです。九尺藤と似ていますが、花色がやや薄い紫色です。

Kyushaku

It is cultivated on a raw wood from Ushijima, Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture. Its long flower clusters can be between 100 and 200 cm in length with a slightly dark purple flower color. It is used for wisteria trellises as the flowers are long and beautiful, even if a bit sparse.

Rokushaku

It is thought that Kyushaku is cultivated on a raw wood from Kumano Naga Fuji. The flower clusters are about 150 cm long. It is similar to Kyushaku but the flower color is slightly light purple.

九尺紫藤

木材是产自埼玉县春日部市牛岛的紫藤。 苦竹紫藤的花序长100至200厘米，花色为深紫色。 花朵虽然有些稀疏，但又长又美丽，所以用来制作紫藤架。

六尺紫藤

是来自熊野的长紫藤。 六尺紫藤花簇高约150厘米。 它与Kushaku紫藤类似，但花色是稍浅的紫色。

Introduce “Owari Tsushima Wisteria Festival” starts today.

In 2007,  Tennogawa Park was selected as one of Japan’s top 100 historical parks. The wisteria trellis in Tennogawa Park was built from 1978 to 1982 and was expanded in 1992. Today, this magnificent wisteria trellis measures 275 m in length and 5,034 m² in area, and is one of the most brilliant wisteria trellises in Japan. In early summer, the Owari Tsushima Fuji Matsuri attracts tourists from all over Japan.

Fuji, or wisteria, in full bloom with elegant clusters of flowers hanging down has attracted people since ancient times as one of the most popular flowers between April and May. This plant is mentioned in the Kojiki, an account of ancient matters and Man’yoshu, the oldest existing collection of Japanese poetry. The wisteria is regarded as an auspicious tree for its longevity and was believedto be planted as a garden tree in the Heian Period for its beauty.

The color of wisteria flowers is light purple and this color is called fuji-iro (wisteria color) in Japanese after the flowers.
